Things to do

South Shropshire is one of the most beautiful areas of England and as yet undiscovered by tourism. The scenery and even the local towns remain largely unchanged.

Walking is of course one of the main attractions of the area and there are many walks that can be taken directly from the Coach House without having to use the Country Walk, Walking Holidayscar.

Further afield there are Offa's Dyke, the Shropshire Way, the Jack Mytton Way, the Kerry Ridgeway and the Long Mynd.

Bikes can be hired locally from wheelywonderfulcycling.co.uk and nearby Hopton Woods has purpose made trails (Hopton Bike Trails). We can store your bikes under cover at night.

Castles to visit include Clun Castle, Ludlow CastleStokesay Castle and Powis Castle.

There are many wonderful gardens to visit in the area including Powis Castle Gardens, Dingle Gardens, Hampton CourtDavid Austin and Hergest Croft. Locally Clun, Clungunford and Leintwardine all have garden open days during the summer.

The towns of ClunBishop's Castle and Ludlow all have a selection of pubs, restaurants and cafes.
